Stockbridge Township Public Safety Millage Proposal
Shall an increase in the tax limitation imposed on all taxable real and personal property in Stockbridge Township, County of Ingham, Michigan, be enacted in an amount of 2.4 mills ($2.4 on each $1,000.00 of taxable value), for a period of 3 years, beginning with the 2026 Winter tax bill and ending with the 2028 Winter tax bill, inclusive, to provide funds for police services including operating expenses, sworn police officers, administrative staff, operations, replacement and additional equipment and vehicles, and for related program support for public safety? It is estimated that 2.4 mills would raise approximately $650,000 when first levied in December 2026. Should this proposal be approved?
