As a business professional having served in a variety of roles and a member of the Jemez Lodgers Tax Board I am well versed in the complexities of Village procedures and civic needs. My ability to learn quickly, positive attitude, and ability to relate to people and achieve a common goal would make me a productive member of the Village Trustee team.
As a Trustee my top priorities would be addressing civic needs and quality of life for our residents, especially maintaining infrastructure and public services.
Improving the system of transparently communicating civic emergencies and issues could be resolved with a notification system of robo-calls, press, text, and email. I have been satisfied with the current procedures the Village has in place as it modernizes it's notification processes.
The issue within the Village with regards to commercial development is the current lack of affordable long term rental properties. Without lodging for an increased number of employees, commercial development is difficult at best.
As a Trustee, I will make myself available for discussion on any issue of concern, whether it be in personal or public forum, and acting upon those concerns, if possible, through civic forums or County and State escalation if necessary.
Along with the current financial and infrastructure issues the Village faces, I believe quality of life and public safety are ongoing concerns for the Village governance and I will work diligently to address these issues if and when they arise.

I have lived within the Village for 26 years of which I have been mayor or trustee for 14 years. I am a retired CPA and also have owned businesses in the Village.
Returning the Village to a state of fiscal stability.
An easy solution would be engage a callout service. The sewer billing system has all of the customer telephone numbers. Once they are in the system Village personnel can leave a message and it will be broadcast to all numbers on file.
There is little land or buildings available for traditional businesses. If telecommunications can be improved, there would be potential for individuals to telecommute for businesses outside the area.
This is a small Village. Interested citizens can attend Village meetings. Also, emails and telephone numbers are available for all officials.
Fiscal issues and communications are the most important.
