Engineer (Term Commencing 01/06/2025)
The Engineer has the responsibility of maintaining the county’s 245 miles of road, 339 bridges, 2,500 culverts and traffic control signs. Under the ditch maintenance program, the Office is responsible for cleaning and debrushing more than 740 miles of open streams and ditches, which is just part of the more than 3,000 miles of open watercourses in the county. The Office also provides cost estimations for road repair projects; assists with grant applications and right-of-way location surveys; investigates drainage problems; and maintains tax map records of daily land transactions such as annexations and parcel splits. The Engineer oversees staff at the County Office Building and at the Highway Garage and also serves as engineer for each of the 19 townships. He is authorized to perform his duties under Chapter 315 of the Ohio Revised Code. Salary: $94,501.00 (with Private Practice) $126,191.00 (without Private Practice)
