As a single mom and first-generation professional, I’ve had to navigate life with determination, resilience, and resourcefulness. I’ve spent 20 years in sales and client service, which has taught me how to truly listen to people, advocate for their needs, and follow through with integrity. I understand what it means to work hard for your family, and I want to bring that same commitment to serving my community. I know how to connect with people from all walks of life — and that’s what this role needs.
I believe many families are feeling unheard, underserved, and stretched thin. Whether it’s access to affordable housing, safety, or support for working parents, people are tired of feeling like they have to fight alone. I understand that feeling personally. What’s most pressing is rebuilding trust between leadership and the people — and making sure real solutions, not just promises, reach those who need them most.
It’s very important. As someone who’s had to speak up for myself and for my family, I believe in giving others that same voice. When the community shows up — especially those who don’t usually feel heard — it’s a responsibility to pay attention. I would absolutely let that guide my decisions, because leadership should reflect the people it serves, not just the ones who already have influence.
