{_getChooseLabel(this.selections.length)}
There are 6 to 8 council members in each borough with half elected every 2 years. Borough Council members meet once monthly and are responsible for enacting, revising, repealing, and amending ordinances and resolutions that govern and are beneficial to the borough, but are not inconsistent with the laws of the Commonwealth. The Council appoints other borough officers such as secretary, treasurer, solicitor, manager, etc., but no council member can also be a borough employee. The Borough Council has the power to make, authorize, and ratify expenditures for lawful purposes from available funds or from funds borrowed within legal limits. Additionally, each member serves on at least one committee such as planning, police, public works, or finance.Term: 4 years

Qualifications
I’m a 1998 Penn Manor graduate, with a Master's in landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. After 8 years as a practicing designer, I have spent the last 13 years working in the sustainability sector. My husband and two children (now at Manor Middle School) relocated to Millersville in 2016, and I began serving on the Millersville Planning Commission in 2017. With a passion for our community, I ran and was elected to the Borough Council in 2019. I served as Vice President and President for two years each. While I did not immediately run for reelection, I feel that I can continue to have a positive impact on my community by returning to office in 2026. I hope you'll support me for another 4-year term.

I think ensure that development within the Borough and neighboring municipalities benefits our residents.
I also think that long-term fiscal planning is critical to the future health of the Borough.
Civic engagement is a cornerstone of our democracy. I greatly value participation from all residents.

Maximizing the benefits of development for Millersville. As development happens in and around the borough it is important to ensure we use it to provide a sustainable and enjoyable Millersville.
Civic engagement is important but it is a data point for decision making, not the decider. Representative governance requires making tough choices as an elected official.
