Widowed at 39, I raised 2 daughters through grad school. I am a 9/11 survivor of the WTC attacks. As a grandmother of a severely disabled child, I understand the importance of meeting the educational needs of all children. I pride myself on being resilient and focused on getting the job done.
Serving on our School Board would enable me to foster efficient operations, solid financials and transparent communications. I pride myself on being highly available and giving 110% to everything I take on. At this stage in life, my focus is on giving back to family, friends and community.

Serving my eighteen year as a School Director in Centennial SD. Elected 5 terms as Board President.
Policies that would allow School Board members to sit in on interviews of key positions within our district. These policies need to be reworded and changed to have input from the Board. Administrative Regulations revisions are vital in bring about these changes.
Over my tenure of 18 years I attended over at least 500 meetings and am very familiar with structure and procedures of their operations.

I’m a caring father who hasn’t liked what he has seen and it’s only 1st grade.
I don’t have a policy in mind my son is in first grade my experience with this school system is very limited. I would like to continue to educate myself on the system itself and see what areas need improvement he most. To me the lack of support our over worked staff gets internally while there’s a lot of admins that don’t seem to do much admin work in the trenches where it should be done. When our daily goals should be to provide the very best services to our children as possible but we are not staffed properly that is a problem.

I have a child in the first grade and one not out of daycare yet. I want someone who has their best interests(all of our children in this community)on the board and I don’t think I trust anyone else to do it that’s willing to donate their time so here I am. I run two drug and alcohol treatment centers. I get the kids after they get out of the system and give them the support they should be getting in the system.
