Matt For Mayor will be a Mayor with Integrity and Honor for God and Country. Matt For Mayor is a homeschooled lifelong resident of Sterling Heights and comes from a dedicated family with a long history of public service. With a strong commitment to the community, Matt aims to prioritize transparency in spending and accountability to the residents of Sterling Heights. As an entrepreneur with experience in managing a small business, Matt is dedicated to finding effective common-sense solutions for the city's challenges.
We need to restore Merit and Morals back to the City of Sterling Heights. We need to also eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion because these have divided our city and have excluded many residents. Needless costly spending needs to stop such concepts like sustainability - windmills, solar panels and the EV technology that just do not provide any economic value; basically it causes more problems then solves.

Taxes have been increased over the years without any accountability or transparency as to where these significant increases really went to cover. These increases should be able to be seen to benefit the residents and city. Instead they go into the general fund and seem to go elsewhere instead of the original intent of increase.
We need to relook at the old Lakeside Mall area and look to improve it for affordable family owned homes that will grow our community and help us all work together instead of apartments with adult entertainment. We need to take all of our vacant shopping strips and update them with strong American businesses to help grow the Sterling Heights family community we moved here to have for our children. We should not be the developer of any of these business adventures. It is not the Mayor or City Councils roll to be a business using our tax dollars.
We just had 80 plus water main breaks throughout Sterling Heights in the last couple of months. It was said it was due to the pressure issue at GLWA. How were all these fixed? Are we looking at more water main breaks as we head into the fall and winter with changing temperatures? The City has not been maintaining the infrastructure over the years. Our roads and sidewalks are not where they should be at for the amount of money we have set aside to use to maintain and repair. Again, questionable transparency and accountability questions arise as to what and why. As Mayor, I want to put all this on the table for the residents to see and solve these issues effectively and expediently.
