Working with our technical partners to add remote accessibility. Programs to add accessibility online, which will add availability after hours. Utilizing AI programs which will enhance our eFile and online filing programs.
To handle growth, I employ a Modernization First strategy. I utilize AI-assisted software to automate administrative bottlenecks like data entry and scheduling. This technology acts as a force multiplier, preventing backlogs and freeing my staff to better serve the public. By streamlining routine paperwork, I ensure simple matters are resolved quickly, allowing me to dedicate ample time to complex rulings. This leverages innovation to scale operations, ensuring justice remains fair, accessible, and timely without overburdening taxpayers.
The most pressing issues are truancy and the surge in evictions and small claims. For truancy, I prioritize early intervention to keep youth in school, preventing future crime. Regarding civil disputes, the challenge is ensuring fair, timely resolutions amidst rising volume. I address this by utilizing my AI-driven systems to expedite scheduling and simplify filings. This ensures landlords, tenants, and small business owners receive swift justice without administrative delay.
Education I earned an MBA from Franklin University and BS from Wilberforce University. I completed the TEA teacher's training course. I also completed the Texas class B CDL written and driving course, proudly earning my CDL license.
Experience I've been working since age 9 delivering the paper and I've worked ever since! Worked for the Ohio AG's Office for almost 20 years, adjunct professor for 5 years, now I own a small business and serve the most precious children as a school bus driver.

I have experience in dispute resolution, a strong understanding of court procedures and local laws. I'm capable of handling and understanding legal documents. I believe even if something is not broke we need to have procedures in place to fix it. Although I have a long succesful work history implementing the skills I acquired from my studies, I want my constituents to know this. My strong people skills, common sense, integrity and innovative spirit will be some of the greatest factors in helping me transform the JP3 court into something amazing and special for the entire community.
First and I believe foremost, I will be in the community making sure people know who their JP3 Judge is and educating them on how to access court resources when they need them. One can never go wrong with proactive communication with the community at large! I will encourage virtual hearings and online dispute resolution when applicable. I will revamp forms where needed making them more user-friendly, especially for pro-se litigants. I will make sure the phones are answered and don't go to VM! I will make sure my staff members are properly trained to answer the publics questions!
As the leader in the JP3 court, I must set the tone for the office! I will make sure cases belong in my court before proceeding with costly and time consuming hearings. This will free up time to hear the cases that do belong in my court. I will control continuances by setting firm and realistic deadlines, which will help prevent delays. Educating staff will allow me to delegate certain duties like initial intake, freeing up my time to hear cases. Educating the public on the convenience of e-filing their cases and using other resources, can free up office staff to handle other matters.
Yes, I strongly believe children hold the promise of the future and they need to be in school to help fulfill that promise! I will work hard to find ways to lower the truancy rate in our area. I've already started fulfilling that campaign promise as I took the time to attend a talk by Andrew Yeager. Mr. Yeager has helped advance community engagement in his ISD and implement other great ideas. I was able to ask questions and get some very encouraging answers on ways to help lower truancy. We need children in school which help them succeed in many facets, while also saving taxpayers dollars!
