I work as a technical theatre lighting and sound technician. I am also an Eagle Scout.

As I am 18 years old I bring a fresh perspective to this court. Dealing with truant children you need someone who really understands what it is like to be a teenager in this day and age. I can bring that perspective and relation to those children. Also being an Eagle Scout has taught me how to be a good leader and when people need consequences to learn from their actions. This skill will help me in the way with traffic violations, and small claims court.
I will ensure that there are ample interpreters to any language needed whether that be Spanish, Hindi, or any other language. I will also make sure that as soon as I am aware of the court cases we will get those people in my court as soon as humanly possible. As our Constitution says everyone deserves the right to a speedy trial (6th amendment). Regardless of the level of court.
I will ensure that we update the way that people can request a court date. It can all be online and streamlined. I can help build out those websites, and ways to get court to be as timely as possible.
I believe one of the most pressing issues are the children who are truant. Children are the leaders of tomorrow and if they are treated unfairly, and/or taken away from the education system they are going to have a much harder way of life and may turn to criminal activity. The criminal cycle starts here and if you have a great JP who can help guide those kids on the good path then you can create a better community.
