I envision a strong, empowered party, unified within our platform, standing firm on conservative values. I will listen to volunteers and implement their good ideas. I will communicate our principles clearly across multiple channels to a widespread voter audience. We will see victory!
I will actively listen and show appreciation to the volunteer team. I will communicate clearly and effectively to motivate and work side-by-side with the team as we pursue our goal of Republicans winning elections across Collin County. I will serve my team and make myself accessible to them.
When we clearly communicate our principles and goals in a unified voice, our message will reach a widespread voter audience. I believe our message will resonate with people from all demographics and diverse backgrounds. They will then see how they already align with our principles. I have a goal of creating a “bench” of candidates from every demographic who align with our principles that we will coach and train to run in elections; backing them to the finish line.

Clear and consistent messaging broadly shared across social media, media outlets, community events and print material outlining our principles and the issues in a unified voice will increase voter turnout. I will utilize the strengths of existing Republican clubs, organizations, and volunteers to spread the message and extend invites to join our causes of protecting our freedoms and our children. I have additional ideas but hesitate to share my entire playbook.
Volunteers are the backbone of the Republican Party. For two decades I have recruited, trained, and galvanized volunteers to successful outcomes. This gives me the experience needed to lead volunteers well. I have great insight and knowledge about the value and strength of volunteers. I will listen, take suggestions, and encourage volunteers. I will actively work side-by-side with the volunteer team as we work towards our goal of Republicans winning elections across Collin County.
Currently, an additional pressing issue we face is Executive Committee meetings are not as productive as they should be. I will elevate the effectiveness of the Executive Committee meetings by restructuring the agenda and ensuring clear action steps result from the meetings. I will pair mentor volunteers with new volunteers. I will tap into the strengths of the many wonderful GOP clubs and organizations and implement their good ideas usher in victory across Collin County.

I don’t like our two-party system. George Washington didn’t like it when it was a three-party system, and it’s only gotten worse. In his farewell address, he warned of the tribalism inherent in political parties. I wrote about that among other things nearly three years ago in my article, Communification: 7 Appeals to the American People.

I intend to steer us away from invective which only exacerbates polarization, and instead make inroads into our communities and government to advance Republican values and refocus everyone on why the Republican Party was founded to begin with: Liberty.
I intend first to set the example as I've done the past 4 years on Plano City Council. I listen, I'll meet with anyone--that doesn't mean I'll always agree--and be respectful. I'll stand firm in my values, negotiating on detail, but never on principle.

I'll work with others to modernize our electoral approach, particularly with technology, meaningfully influence elections and legislative action, and reach the countless Republicans who don't yet know they're Republican because they don't actually know what the parties stand for.
Liberty is for everyone. That's an overarching and universal message. We have to make it known far and wide that we welcome ALL to learn and share our values. We'll recruit and support the candidates who effectively champion and advance those values.
Nobody does anything unless they're sufficiently motivated to do so. A person won't get off the couch for a drink of water unless they're thirsty enough. The same applies to voting.

Three main things motivate people to vote: hope, fear, and duty. My goal is to avoid stoking unnecessary fear, while emphasizing what we have to be hopeful about, and invoking a sense of duty.

Our Constitution begins with the words "We the People" for a reason, people only take that to heart when they believe their vote matters. Educating people on the importance of their vote takes time, but it's critical.
Just as people won't vote if they don't think it matters, people won't volunteer unless they think it matters. Volunteers need to see the fruits of their labor and know HOW their efforts made a difference. They also need recognition, not to mention a bit of gamification.

More than anything, they need something meaningful to do. There's nothing more demoralizing to a volunteer who's energized and motivated to raise their hand, and who is then told, "We'll let you know if there's anything you can do." We need way more work than we can possibly have volunteers.
Bringing about party unity is the most pressing issue. We can't make any real headway without that. It's far easier said than done, but it's crucial. Unity doesn't mean crushing the "opposition" or everyone holding hands and singing. It DOES mean everyone has a shared, overarching purpose, they feel that purpose is the most important aspect of their involvement, and they clearly see how they fit into advancing that purpose.

For the Republican Party, this means advancing our core values and Liberty.
