We continue to build on the great work that has already been done in leveraging real-time data to continue to meet students where they are, providing them an environment full of opportunities, high expectations and high support. We continue to ensure teachers have dedicated PD and collaboration time to improve their craft and focus on continuing to identify and remove barriers that exists to provide an equity-focused, inclusive and successful system. All, in order to serve our district mission statement.
Based on recent family, student, and staff climate surveys a large majority of our students and staff feel safe - both physically, mentally, emotionally and importantly in the sense of belonging. I believe that continuing to build upon the great work we've done to listen from our care holders and effectively communicate and collaborate with them are key to continuing to improve our school climate for all students, staff and community members.
I believe we must always improve upon and continue to keep open our communication channels with all district care holders to support the areas they care most about and will make the most impact for our community as it relates to students, families and teachers continuing to be proud and excited to be part of our district.
I'm passionate about financial and physical health and wellness for our students, staff, and community - I intend to apply the many years of professional and personal experience I have to help support the district towards continuous improvement in these areas - that is aligned with our district's mission statement.
I've served various non-profit organizations throughout my career in the areas of financial literacy, health and wellness, food and shelter security, and mentorship for young adults - in addition I have spent my professional career in the financial services/education space in additional to health and wellness. I have served on the board for 3 years and look forward to leveraging the additional experience, knowledge and momentum to continue serving our district and its constituents as best as I can.
