My wife, Jen, and I have been residents of the Town of Greenfield for 20 years. Raising our kids in this community from their days at the Toddle Inn Daycare to their high school years in the La Crosse School District. I have an interest in the local government that affects our community members more so than the national news and events we see on TV. Our grassroots is where change begins for our neighborhood and community. Strong ties to our village and township dealing with traffic and road issues, neighborhood problems and making sure our town board continues to make sound decisions. Though I have much to learn about the intricacies of how the decision making happens, rest assured that a level head will prevail with my experiences I’ve had in decision making and communication as both a Sheriff’s Deputy and Town of Shelby Firefighter. I will have an open door policy and welcome the possibility to have discussions that will solve problems and issues we face in our township!
1. Road maintenance, signage and safety. 2. Consolidation of services with other towns/villages if appropriate. 3. Taxation issues within control of our town board.
I hope to gain valuable training through our towns association which I can apply at our town meetings. Part of this would include gathering thoughts and ideas from our residents and making decisions appropriately. Passing along any maintenance related concerns to our town workers and assisting them in areas we need to focus our services. Continuing to work with our neighboring towns that offer fire protection and hopefully offering a collaboration of not only services but also equipment to cut costs. Additionally through discussion hopefully streamline expenses that could affect our local taxation.
