I will be a champion of open and honest government and represent the voice of the entire community. I promise to remain a selfless public servant whose focus is on bettering our community without concern for personal reward or recognition. I have over 34 years of municipal government experience. I have been the Chair of the Grand Chute Planning Commission for four years. As Sheriff of Outagamie County for 28 years, I oversaw a budget of more than $20 million and 200 employees.
Not in order: 1)Capitalize on helping developers and Community Development staff create more affordable single family residential properties. 2)Continue to increase investment in Public Safety services. First year of paramedic and ambulance services is positive. With population growth, continue to grow investment in Public Safety. 3) Water loss continues to be issue. Public Works making great progress to eliminate water loss with replacement of residential meters and ductile iron mains.
Previous model of road assessments for improvements was punitive to residents. A recent survey showed mixed support among residents unless assessment was capped. Current budget allows for road reconstruction/resurfacing with mix of debt service and one-time dollars transferred from Fund Balance for targeted projects. Use of Fund Balance dollars and debt is not sustainable practice due to higher interest payments and depleting Fund balance dollars availability for other worthwhile projects.
Grand Chute offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for candidates. To attract top quality candidates, we need to work harder to promote and enhance a professional and credible community image.
Grand Chute needs to leverage opportunities to increase affordable single-family properties, assist developers with new commercial developments, and work with neighboring communities to grow recreational trail pathways.

I am running because I believe our residents expect and deserve a supervisor who is fair, who will listen respectfully to their concerns with an open mind and will not be fearful or intimidated when making decisions. With my experience and work ethic I will provide the type of leadership that will serve our Town well. My relative experience is, I currently serve on Outagamie County Drainage Board since 2014. I am also the former Town Chairman (2021-2025).
Road repairs, drainage, and housing are three topics that commonly come up.
I don’t believe a municipality should be using special assessments to supplement the general fund, residents and business owners pay enough in taxes. It is the responsibility of the governmental body to spend tax revenue wisely and not overspend to the point that another revenue source needs to be obtained.

To fill the administrator position, the Board needs to offer competitive wages and compensation. Also, we need to create an environment that isn’t micromanaged by some board members. Clear and concise goals that can be obtained. The Board needs to act when the administrator obtains all the information the Board requests on certain topics. This will help the administrator to be productive and help move the Town forward with good policy.
I believe more interaction with the community especially when it comes to Town construction projects that effect residents and business owners.
