I was appointed to the County Board in June, 2025, and have served as the incumbent since that time. I currently am a small business owner with 45 agents & employees, but come from a 29+ year history in public safety. As a former police officer, firefighter, dispatcher and technical college instructor I know first-hand how municipal and county government works.
My district is unique in that we have numerous lakes, and with those we have some complex issues and challenges. There are issues that need to be addressed within those lakes, their associations, and districts.
As a Board, regardless of district location, we are assessed with the task of ensuring we are fiscal & responsible stewards of the taxpayer's hard earned tax monies. I share the responsibility with all other supervisors to do the right thing to advance the services we provide to people across the county while being mindful of what we have to work with.
Increases in certain crimes, a tax levy that isn't increasing in levels as we've seen before, increased costs and wages, all add to the current fiscal challenges the county faces. The Board continues to challenge all departments to run as efficiantly as possible, while increasing the value we provide to our constituants.
