Public Safety and Infrastructure. Continuing our contract and strong relationship with the Waukesha County sheriff department keeps the community safe. As far as infrastructure, we are planning to improve safety at the dangerous intersection of HWY K/HWY F, and are in the beginning stages of planning a reworking of HWY K, to include a railroad bridge just east of the Quarry Mart
For jobs, we are continuing to build transportation opportunities to bring workers to jobs in Waukesha County. Our Health and Human Services Department continues to be one of the best in the state at providing services to our residents.
Mental health and drug addiction are serious problems. We did just receive settlement money from the Opioid lawsuit, and that money can only be used for drug related programs whether they be for education or treatment. We also have the drug court which gives people an opportunity to reduce a sentence in exchange for maniditory drug treatment. This has been a very successful program.
