The disparity of human connection & lack of empathy within current US politics has encouraged me to have more conversations with people of all political views. It's the reason I started serving my community several years ago. (Both in local government and my own nonprofit for underprivileged families.)
Whatever it takes to create a kind, compassionate, all inclusive community while building a trustful relationship with all people is important. We can all work together to implement changes.
Bayside is already very forward thinking, while encouraging green initiatives. Grants and monies have been secured by the Bayside DPW as well as Village Mgmt. In order to keep these efforts going, I would continue to support all existing programs. In addition, supporting all equity opportunities, and suggesting more. I've run my own nonprofit, that provided comfortable home environments & belongings at no cost to these vulnerable families.
Bayside is one of the safest Milwaukee county areas/villages. The constantly, in-motion police officers are always en route covering the entire village. Having been on the board for 3 years now, keeping in close touch with the police dept has helped our community, tremendously.
As an incumbent nominee, I have had the privilege to work closely with surrounding communities as well as all other state levels. We have truly made a difference both locally & statewide, by sharing our ideas and learnings.

The village has a significant revenue shortfall in the budget that is being downplayed to residents.
Poor outreach by the town concerning both short and long term issues.
More attention to traffic control issues
Waste and trash management policies need to revision to meet future town growth
Significant rise in property taxes with little feedback to residents
for future expectations.
Planning for the eventual passage of SB 559 Community Solar Power.
Reevaluation of town fees for homeowners.
The establishment of a community wide on line forum site for discussion of issues specific to the town, limited to verified residents of Bayside and independently administered
A quarterly open forum at Town Hall for residents to address issues that directly affect them
Semiannual survey, on line/ mail to residents about the direction the town is moving in and issues that may affect them in thefuture
Communication by the town TO residents on a monthly basis on that may affect them (email/text)
Primarily for the city of Milwaukee, some parts of it would benefit Bayside if adopted. Issues related to flood mitigation would be a good starting point. Suggestions for developing a "green canopy" has possibilities but leave much to be defined as to suburban vs urban needs
A reading of the current accomplishments of the plan's progress is disappointing,The program being urban centric leaves few areas of commonality Participation should be limited to areas benefiting Bayside Village
By in large Bayside is a safe, low crime community. However, emergencies whether criminal or public safety do occur
The town should undertake a study of installing self powered emergency call kiosks along designated roadways and park areas that would alert local police of a problem as found on many college campuses
2. A voluntary program of homes designated as safe zones for children who may feel threatened or have an emergency outside the home
Actively pursue Wisconsin bill SB559.7 enabling the establishment of a community solar program to reduce energy costs.
More pressure put on the state and the county to control taxes as well as review of standards being used to assess tax rates.
Better information to communities of infrastructure work that may
impact them
Increase multi community pressure onthe state and DMV policies regarding driver licensing and vehicle insurance regulations and enforcement of non speeding violations.
Making sure the Village of Bayside runs as efficiently as possible within budget.
It's a small village and I'm proud to say that it does ensure residents have equal opportunities and access.
Our Climate and Equity plan outlines our goals and strategies to achieve climate equity that aligns with the all of Milwaukee County.
