I decided to run because I want to help influence decisions that directly affect our local community. My professional experience managing multi-million dollar budgets, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and capital expenditures has given me a strong understanding of financial responsibility and strategic planning. I want to bring those skills to help ensure thoughtful decisions that support responsible growth and serve the long-term interests of our community.
The city budget is one of the most important issues facing our district and the town. Responsible financial management is essential to ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively while maintaining critical services. I would focus on careful budgeting, prioritizing essential needs, and ensuring transparency in how funds are allocated so our community can grow sustainably while protecting its financial stability.
I would work to identify practical, balanced ways to expand opportunities so all residents can benefit from what our city offers. That includes supporting policies that encourage affordable housing, safe neighborhoods, access to health resources, and local job growth. At the same time, it's important to maintain the safety and quality of our communities and schools while ensuring resources are distributed fairly and responsibly.
The city should reasonably explore ways to reduce carbon emissions while balancing economic impacts and community needs. Local government can support practical efforts such as improving energy efficiency, encouraging responsible development, and partnering with businesses and residents on sustainable practices. Any approach should be thoughtful, cost-effective, and focused on solutions that benefit both our environment and our community.
Public safety is a top priority. I would support ensuring our police and first responders have the resources they need to do their jobs effectively. I also believe in strengthening community partnerships, supporting prevention efforts, and encouraging collaboration between law enforcement and residents. A balanced approach that focuses on safety, accountability, and community engagement helps create a safer environment for everyone.
