I’m running for alderperson because I feel a strong calling to serve my community and make a meaningful difference. My strengths include follow-through, compassion and integrity. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, I spent 10 years as an educator before transitioning into marketing and communications. My passion for seeing the big picture, problem-solving and responsiveness are skills I believe would serve our local government well.
The major issues facing our district include maintaining a sustainable city budget, revitalizing the Brookfield Square area and improving communication between residents and City Hall. Brookfield is facing long-term financial pressures, and we need honest conversations about priorities and tradeoffs to protect the services residents rely on. I've also heard residents express a wish for more green space in District 6!
I believe everyone in Brookfield deserves a safe, healthy community and a fair chance to thrive. That means supporting a range of housing options so young families, seniors and working residents can continue to live here, and making sure new development includes amenities that serve the whole community. City leaders should actively seek input from residents and carefully consider the impact of any changes made.
Absolutely! The City can support energy efficiency in public buildings, expand tree canopy and green space, and encourage development patterns that reduce traffic congestion and emissions. We can also promote sustainability through responsible infrastructure planning and by supporting residents and businesses who want to invest in clean energy and conservation.
Brookfield is fortunate to be a safe community, and I believe our goal should be to maintain that through proactive, community-focused public safety. I support strong communication and partnerships between public safety departments and residents. Prevention also matters. Safe neighborhoods are supported by well-maintained infrastructure and active community spaces.
