Supervisor Jack Eckblad believes that the core mission of county government is to equitably deliver essential services.
As a third-generation public servant, his priorities as County Supervisor are focused on delivering constituent services, revitalizing the parks of District 4, better aligning Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee’s climate cooperation, and ensuring the equitable expansion of access to affordable housing.
Milwaukee’s parks are our heritage and our legacy. With a focus on preserving what makes our county special, I'm dedicated to keeping our parks thriving despite the challenges we face today.
Housing is at the core of addressing every structural problem in society, and Milwaukee County is facing a housing crisis that is ranked nationally. The diverse fabric of Milwaukee is not possible without affordable housing and the preservation of renters’ rights. Milwaukee needs to double down on both.
Milwaukee County must do everything we can to ensure that any and every resident of Milwaukee can access services and engage in their community with a guarantee that their rights and safety - and the rights and safety of their families - will be inviolable.
This is our mission, and this is the path we will steadfastly follow.
Our responsibility is clear – whether it's reforming a flawed criminal justice system, expanding right to counsel, increasing access to drivers licenses for migrants, demanding that law enforcement keep their promise not to coordinate with ICE, ensuring access to due process in the Courthouse Complex, bridging disparities in financial services, health, the environment, or education, we are resolute in our commitment to creating a county where equality prevails for all of our neighbors.
Let's tackle the climate crisis by safeguarding, improving, and expanding our green havens. Privatization? Not on my watch. Our parks are here for all of us, regardless of income. I'm also pushing for a greener tomorrow. The Milwaukee County Transit System should embrace electric vehicles to make our transportation cleaner and more efficient. And let's clear the air – it's time to champion a renewable energy future. I'm committed to leading the way toward cleaner air and a healthier future.
