The Milwaukee County Board of SupervisorsThe Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors is the legislative body of the county and consists of eighteen supervisors, each representing one of eighteen supervisory districts in the county. The county board adopts an annual county budget, resolutions and local ordinances (laws). They also establish programs and public services for the county. As the current supervisor for District 7, I have worked collaboratively with the members of the Milwaukee County Board, County Executive, community partners, constituents, and business community to address some of our greatest challenges. My volunteer work in the community, church, the Hunger Task Force, and my 20+ years of administrative and budgetary experience in academic medicine qualifies me for this position.
I will continue to work collaboratively with the members of the Milwaukee County Board, County Executive, community partners, constituents, and business community to address some of our greatest challenges which are improve park infrastructure, low-income and affordable housing, as well as food insecurity. We have partnered with community partners to address housing concerns. We have secured $150,000 to assist the Milwaukee Match Program/Feeding America to ensure families have access to food.

Milwaukee County's role in public safety is different than municipal's role. As the county we can invest in upstream measures, such as youth diversion programs, connecting young people to education, wraparound services, and employment opportunities to reduce involvement in the juvenile justice system.
Milwaukee County is reducing emissions from county buildings (which account for 65% of operational emissions), improving resilience of infrastructure, accelerating home energy efficiency, increasing rooftop solar, improving transit, and expanding electric vehicle infrastructure. *Taken from our Milwaukee County website*

I was prompted to run because I saw too many residents in District 7 struggling with rising property taxes, public safety concerns, housing affordability, and shrinking community resources, while feeling unheard. I live here, I work here, and I teach here. As a licensed real estate broker, educator, and MBA graduate, I understand how county decisions impact families. I felt a responsibility to step up, bring practical solutions, and ensure our community has strong, accountable representation.

The major issues in District 7 are rising property taxes, public safety, housing affordability, and access to services for seniors and families. I would address them by pushing for responsible budgeting, stronger community-based safety strategies, expanded housing options, and reinvestment in neighborhood resources. My focus is practical solutions, transparency, and making sure county decisions reflect the real needs of residents.
I would focus on equity in how county resources are invested and delivered. That means expanding affordable housing pathways, supporting job training and reentry programs, investing in youth and violence prevention, and protecting access to health and senior services. I’ll push for transparent budgeting and community input so every neighborhood in District 7 benefits—not just a few—ensuring residents have real access to opportunity and stability.
I support a balanced approach to public safety that includes investing in youth programs, violence prevention, mental health support, and strong community-police partnerships. I also support responsible firearm safety measures, like safe storage education, keeping guns out of the hands of those legally prohibited from having them, and common-sense accountability, while focusing on prevention, intervention, and safer neighborhoods across District 7.
Milwaukee County can play a key role by aligning investments with the Climate Equity Plan, upgrading county buildings for energy efficiency, expanding green jobs and workforce training, improving transit access, and supporting neighborhood projects that reduce environmental health risks. The focus should be equity, making sure communities most impacted by pollution, disinvestment, and climate risks benefit first from these efforts.
