I ran for County Supervisor to give back to the community that raised me and to keep District 11 and Milwaukee County strong, safe, and affordable for families and seniors. This is a nonpartisan seat, and I’m committed to being a voice for all residents. As a lifelong public servant—public school teacher for 36 years, Greendale School Board member for nine years, and Supervisor for four years—I bring proven dedication, steady leadership, and experience listening, building consensus, and results.
Major issues in Milwaukee County—and in District 11—include health and well-being, mental health, parks, transportation, and public safety. We’re facing budget pressures that threaten core services, including transit and senior supports. I will focus on smart budgeting, protecting essential services, maintaining safe parks and trails, and supporting public health programs. I’ll work with local partners to improve transportation, strengthen community safety, and keep our neighborhoods thriving.
As District 11 Supervisor, I have worked to ensure all residents have equal access to county resources by supporting affordable housing, strong public health and mental health services, and safe neighborhoods. I’ve advocated for job training and workforce programs that connect people to good-paying jobs, and reliable transportation so residents can reach work, services, medical appointments, and our parks. I will continue to advocate for these priorities and work to remove barriers for families.
I support a balanced approach to public safety that respects the right to bear arms while prioritizing responsible gun safety measures that keep our communities safe. Based on my voting record, I support efforts that reduce violence, improve mental health supports, and strengthen prevention programs. I will also work to ensure the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is adequately funded. Resources need to be used effectively, transparently, and fairly to protect all residents across Mil. County.
Based on my voting record, I support Milwaukee County taking an active role in the Milwaukee City/County Climate and Equity Plan by partnering with local governments to reduce emissions and expand clean energy. We should invest in energy-efficient county buildings, sustainable transit, and resilient parks and infrastructure. County actions must prioritize equity by targeting resources to neighborhoods most impacted by pollution, heat, and rising costs, and I will continue to advocate this.
