My father, Ted Wysocki, served District 2 in New Berlin for many years. Growing up, I saw firsthand why transparency and communication are key to empowering residents in shaping the community they live in. I currently serve on the Plan Commission, giving me experience reviewing development proposals, applying city ordinances fairly, and listening to community concerns. My goal is to bring that same careful decision-making, transparency, and accessibility to the Common Council.
I believe residents want thoughtful development, well-maintained infrastructure, and clear communication from city leadership. As our community continues to grow, decisions about land use, traffic, and services must be effectively communicated to the public. My focus is ensuring residents are informed, and heard early in the process, so decisions are made with the long-term interests of the community in mind.
Equal access to city resources begins with communication and responsiveness. Residents deserve clear information, returned calls and emails, and guidance on how to access city programs and services. I’ve seen how community resources like the Activity & Recreation Center bring residents of all ages together. As Alderperson, I will support decisions that strengthen safe neighborhoods and community resources for everyone in New Berlin.
All cities have the potential to play a practical role in environmental stewardship. For New Berlin, that means supporting responsible land use, protecting green space and waterways, and encouraging energy efficiency where it makes financial sense. This translates on a local level to common-sense actions that protect our environment while also being fiscally responsible to our taxpayers.
Public safety begins with strong support for our Police, Fire, and First Responders. It also means maintaining good communication between residents and city leadership, addressing issues early, and ensuring neighborhoods remain well maintained and well lit. Historically, New Berlin has been a safe community, and we should continue investing in the resources and partnerships that keep it that way.
