I was elected Center Township Trustee in 2023 and since then I have focused on expanding services with extended hours. Created a day program for the unhoused and added several programs for basic needs support. Before being elected Trustee I was opening my door helping and feeding those in need. I worked over 27 years in voters registration helping voters making sure they registered and reminding them to vote. I have a heart to help people and will continue to have a heart to help anyone.
The greatest challenge that more people are struggling every day just to make ends meet. I will continue expanding services, building partnerships, and doing my best to make sure people know help is available. People need to know where to go and it's okay to ask for help.
My priority is meeting people's basic needs with dignity and respect. Continuing to have programs like our shower service clothing support, free haircuts, faith in a case and free notary services and taking services into the community. These are just a few projects.
The need of more resources. I address this challenge by being hands on, building strong relationships and partnerships and making sure every dollar or donation is used to help those in need.
I believe in the community, and I need them to believe in me. This office and my role are about restoring dignity giving those a hand up not a handout. I will continue to listen and show up.
