My top priorities are the same ones I have been advancing as Mayor:
• Accelerate and Complete Vital Development Projects — including long delayed initiatives such as the Freedom Pier apartment complex and the redevelopment of Southport, which represents nearly one third of our city’s land area.
• Aggressively Clean Up Blighted and Abandoned Properties — improving safety, appearance, and neighborhood pride across Gloucester City.
• Provide Municipal Service Excellence at Minimum Cost— ensuring residents receive responsive, high-quality services while maintaining fiscal discipline.
These priorities reflect my commitment to putting Gloucester City first and continuing the progress we have made together.
The most important issue facing Gloucester City is the need to complete long delayed development projects that will strengthen our tax base, attract new residents, and create jobs. Bringing additional industry to Southport, which is almost a third of the area of our city, and other areas in need of re-development will broaden Gloucester City’s tax base and ease the burden on our residents.
My approach includes resolving inherited legal obstacles, working closely with business owners and developers, and applying the management skills I’ve gained as a successful business owner. Completing these projects is essential to stabilizing taxes, improving services, and securing Gloucester City’s long term future.
Gloucester City benefits from strong partnerships with county and state government, and I support sharing services when it reduces costs and improves service quality. At the same time, I believe Gloucester City’s identity and distinctiveness must be protected.
Shared services can be beneficial, but full municipal consolidation is not appropriate for Gloucester City. Our history, civic organizations, and community character are strengths worth preserving. I support collaboration that respects those strengths while delivering value to taxpayers I do not plan to outsource vital public services such as our police, fire and water departments.
Economic development is central to my agenda. I will continue to:
• Move forward development projects that have long been stalled, including Freedom Pier and Southport.
• Work with business owners looking to locate or expand in Gloucester City, providing a welcoming, business friendly environment.
• Leverage my experience as a successful business owner to streamline processes, resolve obstacles, and encourage investment. I have built a successful business across the river in Philadelphia and will use my management skills to assist existing and new businesses succeed in Gloucester City.
Economic development requires leadership, persistence, and collaboration — qualities I have demonstrated throughout my many years of service
My qualifications include:
• Current Mayor & Past City Councilman — providing deep knowledge of municipal operations.
• Navigated the Challenges Provided by the Pandemic — demonstrating steady leadership during unprecedented conditions.
• Successful Business Owner — with decades of management experience that I apply to city operations, budgeting, and development. — giving me a personal understanding of Gloucester City’s neighborhoods, civic organizations, and community values.
• Independent leadership — as an independent candidate I put residents above party politics.
These skills allow me to deliver responsive government, advance development projects, and strengthen Gloucester City's civic fabric.
