We have a monthly food delivery at a local church the parking lot is full, kids are going without dental care, Mother's without proper neo-natal care? Why, so a hand full people can a have a huge accounts to feel significant about themselves. Education is the key yet funding for the 95% is being diverted for the 10%. Child care is on the collapse as we've eroded the base of care-givers with subsidized pre-K, and can' even commit to that?
Let the people have a real voice. It would start by having open district-wide meetings at least bi-monthly, rotating through our counties. Scheduling input meetings when ordinary citizens can make them. Engagement is the key to increased voting, and people need to know their vote counts, it's not a mere formality to promote someone else's agenda. A key focus needs to be on our youth and I don't mean using them in propaganda schemes. Disenchanted seasoned voters will return if someone can give them a reason why.
Train our Children and Parents in "Critical Thinking". I've been running a "Purpose-Driven Leadership" class that includes certifying them in Lean Six Sigma after they run an actual project in a local business, the industry doesn't matter. Leadership and problem solving need to be as universal as reading and writing, and we're failing at those as well. This would be the first legislation with my name on it. Our current class was at Grant Regional Career Center in Marion, IN. A child's ability to assess a situation and make a "great" decision is the best protection.. As far as what's going on with the cover up of these insanely rich people and the molestation of our children, it is a true travesty of American Justice.
I feel a deep passion to run for this office for the sake of our children. Being a single father since cancer took my wife in 2009 has shown me a completely different outlook on our world and challenges in this country that are common to every district. Why I am seeking to serve you and our children? Everything isn't where it could be in our District, State and Country, regardless of how many times you hear it is. Lady Liberty signifies the hope that the United States of America stands for, the reason so many have given their limbs and lives to protect her, and I aim to do all I can with the remainder of my life to make sure she shines as bright as possible, each and every second.
