The primary role of Indiana Auditor's is to act as the general bookkeeper of the county, maintaining accounts, issuing warrants for payment of claims approved by the Board of Commissioners, and reconciling financial statements with the County Treasurer. They also manage payroll, including remittance of federal and state withholding taxes and other deductions. My experience has been compliance for the last 20+ years, & I believe that is the main need of the office to make sure the County's books are reconciled, all monies are properly & legally accounted for.
First to be accountable to the citizens of Warrick County with the County's accounting. Secondly to make our County's spending, contracts, vendors & every claim available for the public. I believe that taxpayers should have every opportunity to examine all aspects of the county's spending.
I truly believe that government is for the people, by the people, and that I am a taxpayer here as well. I am a lifelong Warrick County resident and what happens in our area matters to me.
