I have served as the Brazos County Clerk for the past 21 years and everyday is a challenge. The past couple of years were full of challenges since we were dealing with COVID and had to come up with ways to serve the public while maintaining safety protocols for our customers and staff. We were able to do that by using technology and setting appointments. We are also faced with challenges every time the legislators meet. Our association monitors all the new bills being introduced and make sure we have up to date legislation so that we can implement those changes created by the new statues. Our main goal, however, is to make sure our constituents have the best service available.

The Brazos County Clerk's Office is currently following a Records Management and Archival plan approved by the Commissioners' Court. The County Clerk's Office is fortunate that we can collect fees to cover this work and not take monies from the County's General Fund. This plan is helping this office digitize and preserve the historical documents filed in the Clerk's Office. Once digitized, the records that aren't confidential by law are made available to the public. Deed Records and other Real Property Records are now available online from sovereignty to the present. I am currently working to get all the records preserved for future generations.

The Brazos County Clerk's Office is open weekdays to the public from 8:00am - 4:30pm. Our real property records index is online and can be accessed at any time. We no longer require appointments to access the Clerk's Office.
