With decades in Texas agriculture and years serving as Ag Commissioner, I bring proven leadership, real‑world experience, and a Texas‑strong commitment to serving the people of this great state.
Under my leadership, Texas ranks first in delivering healthy meals to schoolchildren. By expanding year‑round nutrition programs, supporting community efforts like the MAHA movement, collaborating with leaders such as Robert F. Kennedy, and serving on Governor Abbott’s newly created Texas Food Nutrition Committee, I work to ensure every Texas child receives the nutritious meals they deserve.
I work hard every day to protect Texas farmers by advocating for fair trade policies, standing with President Trump on strengthening American agriculture, and pushing for relief tools that offset higher costs or lost sales. By promoting Texas‑grown products, expanding new markets, and fighting for producers at every level, my focus always remains on keeping Texas farmers strong and competitive.
The greatest challenge facing rural communities is access to healthcare, markets, infrastructure, and opportunity. I work every day to expand broadband, strengthen local economies, support rural schools and hospitals, protect our water, and ensure state resources reach small towns. By championing rural voices and cutting red tape, I stay focused on keeping rural Texas strong and thriving.
I support protecting farmers’ water rights while promoting long‑term conservation through rainwater harvesting, desalinating brackish supplies, recycling fracking & oilfield produced water for irrigation, tapping newly discovered deep‑water sources, improving storage, and offering incentives for efficiency. My focus is ensuring Texas agriculture and communities have reliable water for the future.

Lifelong conservative Republican,Navy veteran, Christian w/ a decade in full-time ministry. Built the nation’s #1 honey brand from one backyard hive by championing transparency & purity for consumers.
Texas ranks 44th in school lunches under current leadership. I’ll re-prioritize state food dollars toward Texas-grown produce and meat to improve nutrition, support farmers, and get better results for kids.
Farmers once earned over 40¢ of every food dollar—today it’s about 14¢. I’ll reform outdated, inefficient programs to help producers sell directly to consumers, keep more profit, and strengthen Texas agriculture.
The biggest challenge in rural Texas is losing jobs and opportunity. Instead of subsidizing multinational processed food companies, I’ll use the state’s buying power to buy from Texas farmers and ranchers—keeping dollars local.
I’ll protect landowners’ water rights, support common-sense conservation, and ensure agriculture isn’t pushed aside by urban growth—balancing Texas water needs without mandates or overregulation.
