What qualifies you for this office?

How would you address your highest priorities?

How would you better inform citizens about matters coming before the County Commission before decisions are made?

How would you propose to balance growth with water scarcity in an increasingly arid state?

I bring a proven record of leadership, sound decision-making, and community involvement. I take a business-minded, level-headed approach focused on responsible budgeting, infrastructure, and public safety. I listen, work collaboratively, and focus on practical solutions. I am committed to transparency, accountability, and using taxpayer dollars effectively. I focus on long-term planning while addressing immediate needs and always put the best interests of the entire community first.
Sustainable growth is critical for our county, especially in a state that often discourages it. I will prioritize policies that support responsible development while protecting what makes our community strong. Growth must also mean connection—I want a county where businesses, families, and neighborhoods thrive together. By leading with common sense and collaboration, we can set the standard for what a healthy, growing county should look like.
Many residents are unaware of what’s happening in county government—not due to secrecy, but a lack of consistent communication. I will prioritize transparency by improving how we share information about meetings, decisions, department updates, and community needs. A more active and consistent social media presence, along with clear and timely updates, will help keep residents informed, engaged, and confident in their local government and its work.
Water scarcity is a real concern, especially where many rely on individual wells. When a well runs dry, families face a major financial burden. I support responsible growth that protects water resources within our county while ensuring residents have options. This includes expanding access to community water systems where feasible, promoting conservation, and planning development so growth does not outpace supply or put current residents at risk.

I have over 40 years of experience in business and government contracting, mostly in the Project Management and Information Technology fields. I spent over 25 of those 40 years as an independent consultant in both the private and public/government sectors. I love talking to people face-to-face to hear their issues and work with them to solve problems. I also have extensive contacts in both state and local governments that I could use to the benefit of Torrance County and its residents.
#1 Issue - Water: I would support creation of a county-level Water Authority to address conservation, acquisition and distribution of water for householdagricultural/business use. #2 Issue - Roads: Repaving (not just patching the patches) of many of our paved roads and maintenance of unpaved roads with proper grading to encourage quick run-off of rain and reduce washboard roads. #3 Issue - Transparency: Better communication between county officials, both elected and appointed, and citizens.
First, I would actually pay attention to speakers during the "Public Comments" portion of County Commission meetings, which is sometimes not currently the case. Outside of those meetings I would conduct Town Hall meetings across the district on a regular basis and would support the idea of making such meetings a requirement for County Commissioners in Torrance County. Finally, I would encourage the county to communicate information back and forth with constituents via a user-friendly website.
Any businesses relocating to Torrance County should be required to submit a water conservation plan that might include methods to reclaim and recycle any water that they use. Water-hungry businesses like data centers would be required to utilize a "closed" system for any water being used for cooling, or a waterless solution.
