My decision to run for City Council is rooted in a deep commitment to serving the residents of our community & helping build a stronger future for our City. As I've spoken with people throughout District 3, I've consistently heard the same concerns: managing growth responsibly, improving infrastructure, enhancing public safety, & ensuring that City Hall remains transparent, accessible & responsive to every resident. My goal is to bring integrity, fiscal responsibility & thoughtful planning to City Council, while protecting our neighborhoods & creating opportunities for future generations. If elected, I will be a visible, accountable, responsive leader who is committed to improving the quality of life for all residents.
Port St. has the potential to be both a great place to live & a great place to work. I will work to attract businesses in high-growth industries, like healthcare, technology, professional & corporate, while ensuring our infrastructure - roads, utilities, broadband & transportation - keeps pace with growth. Smart planning & strategic investments will make our City more competitive & create more opportunities for residents. City government should be an effective partner in economic development, by streamlining the permitting & approval processes, while maintaining high standards of public safety and environmental protections. At the same time, I will support local entrepreneurs and local businesses, the backbone of our economy.
Teachers, first responders, healthcare workers, seniors, young professionals & working families should all have the opportunity to live in the community they serve. I support working with developers, nonprofit organizations & regional partners to expand housing options, including workforce housing, attainable homeownership, senior housing & well-planned mixed-income communities, while ensuring growth is supported by adequate infrastructure. The City should review its policies and permitting processes to reduce unnecessary delays, without compromising quality or safety. My goal is to support responsible growth that provides housing choices for people of all income levels and keeps Port St. Lucie a strong, vibrant community.

I support meaningful property tax relief for Florida homeowners, especially as rising property values have increased the financial burden on families, seniors on fixed incomes & working residents. Homeownership should remain affordable, & I believe any property tax reform should protect homeowners from excessive tax increases & help families remain in their homes. But property taxes fund essential local services, such as public safety, infrastructure, and community programs. Any changes must be carefully balanced to ensure cities can continue to provide the needed services without shifting an unfair burden to new homeowners, renters or businesses. I support responsible tax relief along with sustainable funding to protect community needs.
Reliable waste collection is an essential service that every PSL resident deserves. When trash & recycling services are disrupted, public health, neighborhood appearance & public trust in local government are affected. I support oversight of waste service providers by enforcing clear performance standards, improving accountability, & ensuring that services keep up with PSL's continued growth. I also believe the city should communicate promptly with residents whenever service disruptions occur and regularly review contracts to improve efficiency, customer service & cost-effectiveness. I support policies that promote accountability, transparency & long-term planning so residents can rely on dependable services while protecting tax dollars.
Data Centers can be a valuable addition to our region when they are carefully planned and located in appropriate industrial or commercial areas. They can attract private investment, strengthen the local tax base, support tech growth & create high-quality jobs. But each proposal must be carefully evaluated for its impact on electricity and water use, infrastructure, traffic, noise, and the surrounding community. I support a thorough public review process to ensure Data Centers meet environmental standards, are compatible with land use standards, & do not place an undue burden on taxpayers or existing infrastructure. Developers must be responsible for funding the improvements their projects require.

I have more than 25 years of experience in the publishing industry, where I founded and built a successful startup lifestyle magazine group. Today, I work in the real estate industry, bringing my experience in business development, entrepreneurship, and community engagement to serve the residents of Port Saint Lucie.
Community Involvement
I currently serve as Chair of the Port St. Lucie Planning and Zoning Board. I also served as a District Governor for Rotary International in South Florida and have been a Rotary member for more than 30 years, including serving as President of multiple Rotary clubs. In addition, I have served on the boards of several charitable organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs and the YMCA, and I am honored to serve as a guardian for Honor Flight, helping our nation's veterans travel to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to their service.

When the current officeholder decided to run for the State House, I stepped forward to bring my years of experience as an elected Weston City Commissioner to help keep Port Saint Lucie Moving Forward in the right direction and build a stronger future for our community.
I plan to work closely with the St. Lucie Economic Development Council, St. Lucie County, and leverage my strong relationships with businesses throughout South Florida to attract high-tech, high-wage employers to Port Saint Lucie. By creating more quality jobs, we can strengthen our local economy and provide greater opportunities for our residents.
I also believe we should expand the use of opportunity zones and build on the success of the Southern Grove Corridor to attract additional investment, encourage innovation, and create sustainable economic growth for our city.
The City is creating an environment that supports the development of attainable workforce housing through its Comprehensive Plan. After carefully reviewing the plan, I recommended that the City Council move forward with its adoption to help expand housing opportunities for our workforce and meet the needs of our growing community.
he City has adopted a policy of not approving any new unentitled development, and I will continue to uphold this resident-driven commitment to no new rooftops unless they have already been properly entitled through the City's planning process.
The City has a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) that addresses many of these infrastructure needs. I support this long-term plan and have developed a thorough understanding of its priorities and implementation. I will also work collaboratively with current stakeholders and developers to secure their partnership in delivering the infrastructure improvements our growing community needs.
I believe property tax reform is needed because taxpayers deserve meaningful relief. While the proposed plan has not yet been approved and may require modifications, I support efforts to reduce the property tax burden on homeowners.
The primary benefit of property tax reform is that it provides financial relief to taxpayers. At the same time, any reduction in property tax revenue must be accompanied by a responsible fiscal plan to ensure the City can continue providing essential services and investing in critical infrastructure. We must identify sustainable ways to replace lost revenue, improve efficiency, and operate within the constraints of a lower-tax environment without compromising the quality of services our residents expect.
I believe the voices of our residents must always be respected and reflected in the decisions we make. That is why the November straw-ballot measure is so important. It will give taxpayers the opportunity to decide whether the City should move forward with additional days of solid waste pickup. I will respect and implement the will of the voters as expressed through the outcome of that election.
Data centers present both opportunities and challenges for our community. As new information continues to emerge about their economic, environmental, and infrastructure impacts, it is important to evaluate each proposal carefully. I will listen to the input of residents, consult with subject matter experts, and engage all stakeholders before developing any policy or making decisions on proposed data center projects. My priority will be ensuring that any decision is in the best interest of Port Saint Lucie and its residents.

As a husband, parent and grandparent I have a vested interest in our community. I am running for office because I believe Port St Lucie has outgrown its current leadership. The City Council annual survey points to a continue loss of community support, park projects have had millions in cost overruns, the lack of City Council focus on roads and infrastructure is causing traffic and gridlock, all over the city. Many developers, contractors, and realtors working with the city have been given special exceptions and variances. Candidates and sitting council members campaign report are filled with out of town and developer money. It makes it hard to say "NO" to the special interests when you take their money. I will not be bought.
Port St Lucie needs to create a more diverse economic business climate. We need to attract both small and large corporations. We need to continue to offer potential business a varying social community, that shows a place for all. We need to attract larger Hi-Teck corporations who will offer higher than average wages. One way to accomplish this is to continue to have our schools continue to be A rated. When exploring opportunities for a corporation to locate to an area the education of their employees' children is paramount, that couples with economics incentive which make sense for the community and Corporation is needed.
Affordable housing is necessary for our city to grow a 2026 Citizens survey shows a 19% approval rating in "Availability of Affordable Housing" this is unacceptable. The city council has $600 million investment portfolio. I would use interest and dividends earned in that portfolio to create $10,000 block grants to attract business who have 10 or more employees. Thus no taxpayer funds would be used, but rather interest and dividends earned on the current investment portfolio would be used.
The city needs to manage the growth of the city; no forethought has been given to socioeconomic issues which this growth has caused. In the citizens survey of 2026, the survey showed, "Employment Opportunities at a 27% approval rating and "Cost of Living at 19% approval. rating. We need to attract Hi-tech corporations who will offer higher than average wages. One way to accomplish this is to continue to have our schools A rated. When exploring opportunities for a corporation to locate to an area the education of their employees' children is paramount, that coupled with economic incentives which make sense for the community and corporation is needed.
The city must demand that developers be accountable to continue to create solid infrastructure for our community. They must be held to the 1985 growth act stating, "Rooftops must be Concurrent with Infrastructure". In the 2026 Citizen Survey "Well Planned Residential growth was at a 23% approval rating, and "Well Planned Commercial Growth was art 26% approval. The city is responsible to create a well-balanced environment for all residents not just the special interests.
Property tax is serious issue; our citizens need relief so I feel it would be a good thing. considering we pay one of the highest rates in the state. If the amendment passes it will create a revenue deficit this is a reality. Now the city will be forced to address its spending on wasteful unnecessary projects, it will be forced to cut fat and look at efficient way to manage our money. There will not be a loss of essential services but, art projects, walking trails and other project will have to be reviewed as to their need to the citizens.
What I believe is needed to prevent an issue like the Waste Management situation is a secondary on call trash vendor. This would allow services to continue regardless of any crisis be it contract disputes, monetary disputes or natural disasters. It is a backup plan.
I do not believe Data Centers are a good fit for our community. They draw large amounts of power and will ultimately drive-up electrical costs for residences.
