County government is typically responsible for: fire rescue; disaster relief; county jail; constructing and maintaining county buildings, roads, and bridges; providing programs for housing and land conservation, as well as approving the Comprehensive Plan (for development). Commissioners serve staggered 4-year terms, with a term limit of 8 years, or 2 consecutive 4-year terms.

Attainable Housing 1. Working-class families, first responders, teachers, and young professionals are completely priced out of Manatee County. Traditional development models are only building luxury units, forcing the workforce that powers our community to commute from hours away. Corrective Action: Shift the focus from government-subsidized handouts to market-driven, innovative building solutions. As a leader on the Affordable Housing Advisory Board, your platform pushes to slash the county's bureaucratic red tape and permit alternative, cost-effective construction methods. 2. Infrastructure-First Planning Implement a strict, non-negotiable "Infrastructure First" mandate. Under your leadership, no new large-scale residential developments will receive the green light unless the necessary roads, utilities, and storm water management systems are already fully funded, built, and operational. Furthermore, your platform demands the full collection of developer impact 3. Homelessness
