With 40+ years in business, I offer proven leadership, budget management, and problem-solving skills. As a U.S. Army combat veteran, I rose through the ranks quickly because of my leadership abilities. My background includes student advocacy for teacher pay, school advisory committee service for safety, and volunteering for a special needs nonprofit. I am ready to bring results to our School Board.
First, we should ensure teachers spend more time teaching and less time burdened by unnecessary administrative tasks. Second, we must maintain safe, orderly classrooms where educators feel supported when addressing student discipline. Third, we should be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars so available resources can be directed toward attracting and retaining excellent teachers and support staff.
I support a review process that follows state law, uses clear educational standards, and includes qualified educators and community representation. Decisions must be communicated openly so families understand how conclusions are reached. The process should be respectful, objective, and free from unnecessary political conflict. Parents, teachers, and the School Board all help ensure our books match high academic and community values.
I support regularly reviewing and strengthening school safety procedures, expanding the Guardian program and partnerships with local law enforcement, and providing ongoing training for staff. Equally important is addressing bullying, improving access to mental health resources, and restoring classroom environments where teachers can teach and students can learn without constant disruption. School safety should be a shared commitment among educators, parents, law enforcement, and the community.
