Currently, I am a Judge for Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, General Division (2022-Present). I preside over a full trial docket consisting of civil cases, criminal cases, as well as approving magistrate decisons in the areas of foreclosure and civil protection orders.

Over my past 30 years of public service in our community, I have served as a Magistrate for Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court from 1999-2005 and 2020-2021. I have a strong understanding of how to interpret and enforce the Ohio Rules of Evidence, Civil and Criminal Procedures, statutory and case law, as well as extensive trial experience.
I have 30 years of legal experience, including 28 years in public service as a Judge, Magistrate, and Assistant County Prosecutor for the citizens of Cuyahoga County. As a prosecutor, I developed extensive trial and appellate experience which include a deep understanding of the Rules of Evidence, Rules of Criminal Procedure, and Ohio statutes and case law. I have personally tried or have been part of a team who has tried 49 jury trials and I have handled thousands of criminal cases. I stand firmly for the rights of victims and the safety of our community by holding violent criminals accountable and I am committed to protecting individual rights and ensuring equal justice under the law by upholding our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I am also dedicated to being fair and equitable with non-violent offenders by offering treatment options and other resources to reduce chances of recidivism. No judicial experience.
I've practiced law in front of the bench that I'm campaigning to join for over 25 years. I've seen the best and the worst. I've seen justice and injustice. I'm prepared to help reform The Bench from within.
The Court needs to focus more of its attention on helping the people who come before it. There should be a desire to be a part of the solution. Today's victims far too often are tomorrow's Defendants. We need to be about serving the community, not just passing out punishments.
