I bring real-world experience and a strong record of service. As an emergency planner and first responder, I’ve handled complex and high-consequence issues that require coordination, clear communication and accountability. I know how to listen, make informed decisions and follow through.
I focus on public safety, responsible growth and fiscal accountability. That means supporting first responders, aligning development with infrastructure and ensuring tax dollars are spent wisely. I set clear priorities, measure results and adjust as needed to deliver real outcomes for our community.
Transparency must come before decisions. I support earlier public notification, plain language summaries of agenda items and more community engagement. We have to be accessible, predictable and responsive to our residents.
Growth cannot outpace water. I would require verified, sustainable water sources before approval, support conservation efforts and coordinate with water authorities. Responsible growth means protecting our future.
We need better prioritization, coordination and accountability. I would rank projects by impact and urgency, improve coordination across departments, set clear timelines and track progress.

I'm a lifelong Valencia County resident, a graduate of Los Lunas High School, and I hold a bachelor's degree from UNM. For the past 13 years, I've owned and operated J Sharp Music on Main Street in Los Lunas. I have real world experience managing budgets, meeting payroll, and understanding the pressures small businesses and everyday families face here. That's the experience District 1 needs, and if elected I will always remember that I am Working for You!
My top priorities are accountability, small business, smart growth, water, and affordability. After the county's $2 million scam this year, I will push for real financial oversight. As a 13-year small business owner, I will fight for policies that help local businesses thrive. Valencia County is the fastest growing county in the state, and I will work to ensure roads and services keep pace. And I will always look for ways to ease costs for families here.
Communication builds trust. I will post summaries of upcoming agenda items on social media before meetings, not just after decisions are made. I will also look into holding local events in District 1 and working with local outlets like the News-Bulletin to get information out early. Transparency should not be an afterthought. It should be a regular part of governing.
Water scarcity is not a future problem, it is already visible in dry stretches of our Rio Grande. As Valencia County grows, every major development should come with a real water impact review. I will push for strong coordination with the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District and water utilities so growth and conservation are both planned together. I will oppose projects without a sustainable water plan.
I am proud the hospital is finally getting done. But it did take nearly 20 years with many delays including disagreements over where to put it and a long gap between the tax voters approved in 2006 and actual construction funding. On the Commission, I will work to make hard decisions early (like site and funding), so future projects move along much faster.
