I moved into Monroe Township over a year ago after having been a resident/homeowner in Muncie for over 22 years. I have always been involved in community events and want to start directing more effort into the area I reside. I am not a career politician and this is my first attempt at public office. I was the Market Manager of WMDH for five years overseeing the entire operation and also spent two years as the Assistant General Manager of MITS (Muncie Indiana Transit System). I am a successful businessperson and would like to transfer that knowledge to my position as a Trustee for the Board of Monroe Township.
I would like to have a relationship with ALL of the residents of Monroe Township. I have made a career in communications and I feel that would be the biggest effort I would like to extend and improve upon to the citizens of Monroe Township. The lack of information that was distributed by the State of Indiana and local government officials over major highway changes on State Roads 3 and 67 concerned me as a citizen and tax payer. I witnessed this type of behavior politically as a resident of the City of Muncie and I don't want it to continue in Monroe Township.
