We’ve been in the Montgomery area for almost 30 years and lived in the city for the last 12 years. My wife and I raised our 5 girls here. Montgomery is home. I care about our community. I want to do my part to make sure we maintain that “something special” while we grow. I have no other business interests, so I can devote my energy to serving the community.
Last summer I retired from a 35+ year career. I was an oil industry executive and strategy consultant. I’ve managed people and businesses with integrity and respect. I’m prepared to bring those skills and approaches to City leadership. Success is achieved when people work together for a common goal and have the resources they need to succeed. I’m confident I can be the Mayor Montgomery needs.
The City must provide basic services – water, roads, maintenance, business support. Traffic needs to move. We have to get that right. We need to identify pain points before they show up. But we can’t burden our citizens with higher taxes and debt. When we do the basics well, we earn the right to provide the next level – recreation, parks, new services. That’s my goal, to create the good stuff
For a small town like ours, I believe we can be effective by pooling resources with other communities – equipment, technology, people. Effective scenario planning, sound response plans, and clear accountability with our partners across multiple agencies will lead to success.
Face-to-face, informal interactions are best. Two-way dialogue is critical. I’m eager to talk and get input. Our citizens must have a say in the big decisions, those that take up a big portion of our budget and those that impact our lifestyle. I’m flexible on format – public forums to coffee talks. We also need to push out important information through social media and mail to stay connected.
First and foremost a wife, mother, and proud “Tootie” (grandmother) who believes family is the foundation of every strong community. The values she lives by at home—hard work, accountability, and caring for others—are the same values she brings to City Hall. I I spent 25 years in IT enterprise sales, building a successful career working with leading technology companies.
As Mayor, I am focused on responsible growth, fiscal accountability, and preserving Montgomery’s small-town character while preparing the city for the future. Last 6 years as Mayor, centers on three priorities: infrastructure, public safety, and quality of life for residents. I am very involved in the planning and development in the city and want ensure nothing but success.
Montgomery’s biggest challenges are traffic and downtown development. I supported bond funding to expand Lone Star Parkway, improving congestion as our city grows. At the same time, future downtown development must be thoughtful, preserving the history, character, and charm that make our historic district a special place for residents and visitors.
Emergency response is one of the most critical responsibilities of local government. I strongly support ensuring our law enforcement officers have the training, equipment, and resources they need to respond quickly and effectively. Two years ago, we voted to establish the Crime Control & Prevention District, providing vital funding that strengthens public safety and helps keep Montgomery safe.
As mayor, I believe communication starts with being present and accessible. I stay engaged with residents by attending community events, speaking with business owners, and listening to concerns. I also work closely with Montgomery County and local organizations to build strong partnerships that help move projects forward and keep Montgomery informed, connected, and thriving.

I have owned a business here in Montgomery, several throughout my career. I am a mom of 6 girls. I am very in tune with the local business owners and I know what this town should be
I am a serial entrepreneur. I buy businesses, fix them and move on. I know what this town is capable of. As a mom of 6 I understand how to run a small village. As a business owner I know how to make the numbers work. As a Realtor, I know what people want when it comes to where they live. I understand infrastructure better than most.
The two most important challenges are 1) infrastructure to support not only existing citizens/businesses but new growth as well. 2) Growth-how to slow it down but still maintain revenue.
I feel our city grid needs a serious revamp. As far as emergency services overall I feel more specialized crisis training is necessary.
I think a more transparent approach is the way to go. We need to listen to our small businesses and help promote them as a city. We need to be in our businesses talking to them, not fighting them.
