The issue I hear most from residents is affordability. People want to be able to build and maintain the life they’re working hard for, and they’re worried about rising costs. The core question is whether the county can deliver and maintain essential services at a cost taxpayers can reasonably afford. That means being disciplined with spending, transparent in our decisions, and focused on providing services efficiently so families and businesses can thrive without being overburdened.
For the past 15 years I have had hands-on experience serving families in Montgomery County. I have seen first-hand how decisions made at the County level impact citizens and businesses in their everyday lives. I have seen what we as a community do well and what we can better. I have provided oversight on budgets and staffing with transparency and accountability. I know how to build partnerships to overcome challenges and solve problems.
I would prioritize expanding transparency and participation in the county’s decision‑making process. With over 35 boards and commissions, we have tremendous opportunities for citizens and local businesses to have a real voice, and I want to see broader participation across all of them. I also believe the county must strengthen its oversight to ensure taxpayer dollars are protected and that waste and fraud are prevented across every department.
The best path to property tax relief is disciplined spending, stronger oversight, and a commitment to growing our tax base through economic development and job growth. We should control costs first, increase transparency so taxpayers can see exactly where their money goes, and provide targeted relief to homeowners most affected by rising valuations. When government operates efficiently and responsibly, we can ease the burden on families without sacrificing essential services

Fiscal responsibility, affordability, public safety, and protecting property rights. We must deliver essential services like roads, infrastructure, and community support while holding the line on property taxes and promoting smart, pro-growth policies.

Public safety is non-negotiable. I support our first responders and collaborative efforts to keep neighborhoods secure such as the Downtown Dayton Security Working Group.

By focusing on transparency, efficiency, and accountability in government, we can build a stronger, more affordable Montgomery County where families and businesses thrive.
As Montgomery County Recorder, I oversee the accurate recording and safekeeping of all land documents, enforce over 1,000 sections of the Ohio Revised Code, manage a nearly $2 million budget, and serve on the Data Processing, Microfilm, and Records Boards. I prioritize protecting residents from quitclaim deed fraud through enhanced alerts and public education while improving customer service and digital access to records.

These hands-on skills in records management, fiscal responsibility, and public protection directly translate to effective countywide leadership as Commissioner.
If elected Montgomery County Commissioner, my top priority will be strengthening housing stability and protecting property rights for every resident. I will champion fiscal responsibility, efficient government operations, and economic growth that delivers good jobs and opportunity.

By prioritizing transparent leadership, infrastructure, and support for vulnerable families, we can reduce fraud risks, stabilize neighborhoods, and build a safer, more prosperous Montgomery County for generations to come.
As Commissioner I will prioritize aggressively implementing recent state reforms, including expanded Homestead Exemptions for seniors and disabled residents. Enhancing the Owner Occupancy Credit. Limiting excessive levy growth tied to reappraisals. Advocating for locally authorized “piggyback” credits where feasible.

We must also promote fiscal discipline, control spending, and support economic growth to ease the overall tax burden. Responsible stewardship will help families stay in their homes while maintaining strong communities.

The biggest challenges include affordable housing, economic stability, public safety, and access to quality education and childcare. Many families are working hard but still struggling to make ends meet. We also see disparities between neighborhood; some areas are growing while others are being left behind. Addressing these gaps must be a priority.
What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on community leadership, faith-driven service, and real-world experience building programs from the ground up. I’m not coming in with just ideas, I’ve already been doing the work. I understand how policy connects to people because I’ve been on the front lines serving them. I’ve also served in elected office before as a school board member. I also currently serve on several boards and commissions both state wide and locally.
Residents are already feeling the pressure of rising costs groceries, utilities, housing. The last thing they need is more financial burden from government. I believe we have a responsibility to be good stewards of the resources we already have, to cut waste, and to prioritize spending effectively before asking taxpayers for more. It’s about respect for the people we serve. The number one initiative would be lobbying preventing the county’s ability to raise taxes without approval.
First and foremost, finding ways to support municipalities and townships in areas that allows them to reallocate monies to areas that help relieve homeowners of being tax overburdened.
