Education Associates Degree in Office Administration
Experience and qualifications 10 years of hands on experience working in the Henry County Clerk’s Office.
Community involvements I am an active member of the Henry County Republican Party, founding member of the Henry County Republican Women and also volunteered 5 years with the Tri Titan Youth football league.
I am honest, dependable, caring and ready to work for Henry County. I am already trained and knowledgeable of the many different systems used on the court side of the clerks office. Having worked many elections, I have been trained on the different machines that are used during elections. I have assisted with creating the budget for the clerk in regards to the court side of the office. I am able to answer questions and help the team when needed. I am eager to learn more about the voter registration part of our office as well.
There is a public test for accuracy of the ballots and machines before any election. I would encourage the voters to come and watch thi process. Lock and load is the process of loading the media sticks and then locking/sealing the machines with the bi-partisan team present to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Setting up at local events with a voter registration drive to encourage people to register. Reaching out to local schools to setup a day we may come in and speak with our future voters is also something I would like to do. The concern of only having two early voting sites is an issue I’d like to look in to and see if we can expand polling locations. Lastly, the travel board is in place for those voters who aren’t able to get out to the polls.

I would like to see some changes made in the election process such as, adding risk-limiting audits. Increasing chain-of-custody transparency so residents can request public testing summaries, I would like to advocate for more transparent audits, as well as help train poll workers. In Henry County, elections already have some solid safeguards, such as paper ballots, bipartisan oversight, and voter photo ID; however, there are a few more safety precautions I would like to implement into place to better secure our elections.
I Would strongly encourage all citizens of Henry County to get involved. Whether it be registering to vote or entering the race for an elected office. We need new people elected to the positions. We need fresh ideas and most importanly we need to put an end to the “cliques” and “buddy system” that is very widespread in our current government offices. When someone remains in office too long, complacency can set in. When that happens, we begin to see the same problems that exist at higher levels of government come back down to local government. We become stuck in the past while other counties continue moving forward. Now is the time for change, now is the time to let your voices be heard. Change is essential in order to move forward.
