I’m committed to continuing to get meaningful bills passed, such as H466 (2023), HCR027 (2023) and H219a (2022), and work to get harmful bills killed. Second, I will continue to cultivate deep, trust based bi-partisan relationships that enable us to pass bills that help Idahoans and restore trust in our elected leaders and legislative process. I hope to continue being a good legislator: someone who listens to constituent and stakeholder needs, and then helps draft legislation that is tailored to meet those needs.
I have had the honor of serving four legislative sessions representing District 19 and have worked diligently to pass multiple bills each session. I also have prior military service, as well as service to the Idaho State Board of Education and the U.S. Senate.
The most significant challenge we face in Idaho is a legislature that seems to be disconnected from the most pressing needs of everyday Idahoans coupled with very high negative partisanship rates, which drives down the legislature’s ability to work on bi-partisan issues. In short, I’m not confident our legislature, as currently populated, is well situated to address the real needs of most Idahoans; the gap between the haves and have nots will continue to widen and this is bad for all of us.
Absolutely. I trust women and their health care providers to make these decisions. Our dangerous and confusing abortion laws are driving health care professionals out of our state, further endangering the health and safety of all Idahoans.
Your voice matters, both at the ballot box and beyond. I’m deeply invested in ensuring Idahoans have access to the lawmaking process and know how to take action. During the legislative session, I release weekly videos and newsletters that share information on what to expect in the coming week with helpful links and tools to get involved.

Thank you for researching candidates and understanding their positions. While understanding where they ‘stand’ on issues is important, please consider speaking directly to the candidates on your ballot to better understand how they reason through problems, how they handle disagreement, and how they identify and analyze facts to arrive at the conclusions they do.
