Addressing the impact of population growth and development on roads, traffic, and schools requires a multifaceted approach. We must improve bus services, promote carpooling, and incentivize ride-sharing initiatives. Additionally, exploring the possibility of adding rail services could alleviate congestion. Making Richland County transportation-friendly would reduce the number of cars on the road and improve overall mobility.
Gun violence is a pressing issue that demands careful consideration and proactive measures. While the recent passage of constitutional carry laws presents challenges, we must prioritize public safety. Exploring potential amendments to this legislation, such as implementing stricter background checks or enhancing mental health screening requirements, can help prevent firearms from falling into the wrong hands. Collaborating with law enforcement agencies and community organizations to implement targeted intervention programs and violence prevention initiatives is crucial. Taking a multifaceted approach that balances individual rights with public safety, we can work towards reducing gun violence and creating safer communities for all residents
To effectively advocate for under-served areas of the county, we must first listen to the community members' voices. Conducting outreach efforts and engaging in meaningful dialogue with residents allows us to gain insights into their unique needs, challenges, and aspirations. With this information, we can develop tailored strategies and action plans that address these communities' specific issues. This may include improving access to healthcare services, investing in affordable housing, taking advantage of opportunity zones to attract and create small businesses, or expanding educational opportunities. By prioritizing inclusivity and collaboration, we can ensure all residents have equal access to resources and opportunities.
The renewal of the penny tax is essential for sustaining and expanding critical infrastructure projects, particularly in public transportation. The revenue generated from this tax plays a vital role in funding initiatives such as the Comet, which serves as a lifeline for many residents, especially those in under-served areas. As our population grows, the demand for reliable and accessible transportation options will only increase. By supporting the renewal of the penny tax, we can ensure that these vital services remain operational and accessible to all community members. Additionally, investing in infrastructure projects creates jobs, stimulates economic growth, and enhances residents' overall quality of life.

Qualifications I am a concerned Citizen and Veteran. I will be a Community Advocate on Richland County Council who will work hard to secure funding and services for our neighborhoods. The gap on homelessness and crime is on a rise and we need "everyday" and down to earth leaders who will work hard to get results that our communities need.
By working closely with Richland County and the City's Planning and Development team to ensure that the development in our communities reflect what taxpayers want to see.
Working with lawmakers to ensure that we address relaxed gun laws that perpetuate violence in communities.

Promote gun safety and programs that bridge the gap between the public and law enforcement.

Promote programs that strengthen the family unit and programs that provide positive reinforcement, internships, and jobs for our youth.

I believe the first step is addressing that the problem lies with relaxed gun laws.

By ensuring that resources and funding opportunities are equally distributed among all communities. Ensuring that training, trade, and job opportunities are available. Also, ensuring that our senior communities receive the care and respect that they deserve because seniors of the backbone of the vote in many districts.
I believe the Citizens of the County should vote on this issue and collectively decided on the renewal of the penny tax.
