When groups of residents disagree about issues, please state what steps you would take (beyond listening to both sides) to create consensus. Please provide any examples of current issues where you think this is possible.

What is the role of the office you are seeking when interacting with ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement)?

In addition to the issues you have already addressed, what other challenges to the municipality do you see and how would you address them?

Ensuring the safety of residents is a top priority. This includes funding for police, fire departments, and emergency services, as well as initiatives aimed at crime prevention and community policing. Maintaining and improving local infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and public transportation systems. Reduce the amount of regulation on the residents where possible. Many restrictions come from the State level and cannot be altered. Keeping a financial watch on all taxes. Lowering the tax rate where and when possible.
Consensus is important when addressing issues as it promotes collaboration, increases buy-in, and leads to more sustainable solutions. However, it is essential to be aware of the challenges it presents and to balance the need for consensus with the need for timely and effective decision-making. Consensus is not always possible and many times leads to comprimising ones values.
My current office does not interact with Federal Departments. The Federal Government has 100% of my support and to do otherwise is, in my opinion treason.
Overdevelopment. Because most of the land in my town is privately owned, there is a risk of overdevelopment. Other than raising an open space fund to purchase such land, there is little the council can do to prevent this from happening. I am open to suggestions and ideas.
