Our elected officials have been asleep at the wheel and have allowed the cost of living to skyrocket while our town’s debt has risen to nearly 75 million dollars. That’s an increase of 59 percent over the last decade. We will implement common sense solutions based on fiscal responsibility to attack these problems head on.
I have been part of this community most of my life. When I saw firsthand what an unresponsive governing body can do to our families and neighborhoods, I felt the need to get involved. No resident should ever feel unheard. When I am elected, they never will.
Government service has to be more than a vanity exercise. We need committed public servants to do the people’s work. It will be my honor to serve the citizens of Freehold Township.
We will institute an open space policy based on common sense. Rather than obsess over the amount of acreage we are purchasing, we will instead pursue more developable, albeit sometimes smaller tracts of land. If we use our resources more strategically, we can not only cut down on development, traffic and congestion, but the pollution and environmental challenges that go along with it.
We will strive to stay ahead of our affordable housing requirements. More importantly, we will make sure our responsibilities are distributed throughout our town. Meeting our obligations will always be a shared responsibility.
