Paterson City Council - Ward 6

The City of Paterson operates under the Mayor-Council plan. Municipal elections are non-partisan and held in May. The City Council consists of nine seats. Six seats are elected through the ward system and in the same years as Presidential elections. The remaining three seats are elected at-large and, along with the Mayor, in the same years as the mid-term Congressional elections. City Council passes ordinances and laws, gives advice and consent on the Mayor’s appointments of department heads, and may vote to increase or reduce items in the budget submitted by the Mayor.Members of City Council and the Mayor serve four-year terms. In 2015, Council members earned $41,213. This year, the Council seats representing the six wards are up for election.

The lack of accountability within the city departments and outside contractors.
Being a union blue collar worker, I understand first hand if I can not accomplish my task in a professional and timely manner I will be reprimanded by my superiors.
Affordable recreation for our youth, increased funding for our libraries, equal pay for our dpw workers and police departments.
Bringing positive change can be in many aspects, providing affordable recreation, work with libraries to create activities, and to bring a equilateral playing field within city hall so all residents are treated equally
I am a loving father of 4 beautiful children, a blue collar union electrician. I am trying to make a change to impact my children’s life as well as the life of every Patersonian.
