Florida's two biggest challenges are affordability and access to opportunity. Families are struggling with housing, insurance, and everyday costs, while employers face workforce shortages. In my first six months, I will support expanding affordable and workforce housing, lowering barriers for small businesses, strengthening workforce training, and improving access to healthcare and mental health services. I will also work across party lines to deliver practical solutions.
Every eligible U.S. citizen deserves a fair and accessible path to register and vote. If documentary proof of citizenship is required, I will support making those documents easy, affordable, and timely to obtain. That includes reducing or waiving fees for eligible residents, expanding access to vital records through local government offices, and providing assistance for individuals whose names have changed due to marriage or other life events. We can protect election integrity while ensuring that unnecessary costs or bureaucratic barriers do not prevent eligible Floridians from exercising their constitutional right to vote.
Affordable housing is essential to Florida's future. I support increasing the supply of housing at all income levels by expanding workforce and attainable housing, streamlining responsible permitting, encouraging mixed-use and transit-oriented development, and strengthening public-private partnerships. I also support preserving existing affordable housing, expanding first-time homebuyer assistance, and protecting renters from unfair practices while respecting property rights. Teachers, first responders, healthcare workers, and working families should be able to live in the communities they serve.
I support a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions in consultation with her family, faith, and medical provider—not politicians. I support access to abortion care before fetal viability and when necessary to protect the life or health of the pregnant woman or in cases of rape, incest, or fatal fetal abnormalities. Every person deserves compassionate, evidence-based healthcare and the freedom to make deeply personal medical decisions.
Florida works best when state and local governments are true partners. I support strong home rule, allowing local communities to address their unique needs while the state sets consistent standards on matters of statewide concern. Excessive state preemption can prevent local leaders from responding to issues such as housing, transportation, resilience, and economic development. Decisions should be made at the level of government closest to the people whenever practical, while ensuring accountability and protecting constitutional rights.
Healthcare should be accessible and affordable for every Floridian. I support strengthening access to preventive and primary care, expanding the healthcare workforce, investing in community health centers, and improving mental health and addiction services. The state should maximize available federal resources, reduce administrative barriers, and improve efficiency so more dollars reach patients. We must also lower prescription drug costs and ensure families, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities can access the care they need without financial hardship.
Floridians are feeling the impact of rising property insurance costs, which have become one of the biggest threats to housing affordability. Lowering premiums requires increasing competition, improving market stability, strengthening consumer protections, and investing in resilient infrastructure that reduces storm-related losses. We must also ensure insurers are held accountable while protecting homeowners and renters from excessive costs. Addressing insurance affordability is essential to keeping families in their homes and supporting Florida's economy.

Florida is one of the states that has not expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. I would advocate for Medicaid expansion to cover more low-income residents who currently fall into the “coverage gap” where they earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but too little to afford private insurance.
Insurance is always higher than property tax, that said. I pay $700 in property tax, divided by 365 = $1.92 a day. I would gladly pay that for essential services, like Police, Fire, EMS.
