Getting people to come together and setting Florida up for success in the future. To address this, I plan on working across party lines and finding things we all have in common. Then use those points to drive unity and success through common values. Things such as insurance rates and infrastructure are two areas that come to mind.
Builders must assist in this matter. Corporate greed cannot always be the deciding factor in new construction. Smart minds must prevail in planning future homesites.
Bullying must be removed from the political system. Swift and punitive damages must result in any person or organization which tries to suppress or intimidate voters.
We must push harder to preserve our green spaces. The beauty of Florida is the land and water. Planning must be thoroughly scrutinized to ensure it does or will not encroach into protected lands.
I believe the each individual and or doctor must have the right to decide what is best for the patient. Politicians should not try to be experts on something that they are not.
Background checks should be conducted for purchases. Firearms safety courses should be used to help educate owners on proper gun handling and storage.
The privatization of public schools needs to stop. Using student as a pawn to grow someone's wealth is just wrong. Teachers need to be supported and given all the things necessary to succeed. Including better salaries. Attract the proper teachers and build on school curriculum to build better students, leading to better leaders for our future. As an inner-city youth growing up in Philadelphia, I have seen first-hand how this can be successful.
