The two most important challenges facing Florida are, undoubtedly, the increasing property insurance costs and the diminishing access to quality education. Enhancing the resiliency of our communities through programs like the My Safe Florida Home are crucial in controlling the rapid increase in property insurance, and I will continue to strongly support the program. In order to protect the quality of Florida’s education, I will fight to ensure the equitable allocation of resources to all our schools.
Elected officials must collaborate with constituents, community stakeholders and private entities in order to devise creative legislative solutions to the housing crisis. When discussing legislative solutions, what we see is that we must find solutions to several issues simultaneously: rising insurance and property costs, and the looming threats that natural disasters pose to the safety of our communities. It is crucial that we continue to fund and expand the My Safe Florida Home Program in order to achieve this goal.
Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. It is the most effective way for us to hold our government representatives accountable for their actions, and without proper access to ballots, our elected officials will cease being truly representative of the people. Removing the restrictions that have been for people wishing to vote by mail, for example, will help solve both of these problems. This course of action will not only reduce the restrictive access to the ballot, but will increase voter turnout as it facilitates an easier way to participate each election.
As we know, the Everglades is the crown jewel of Florida’s environment. Spanning over two million acres across the state, it is a beautiful, vast expanse of wetland containing unique species of flora and fauna. The Everglades, however, is much more than its beauty: it is an integral part of Florida’s freshwater stores. My priority is to continue to fight for legislation that prevent the developmental encroachment into the wetlands to preserve its natural beauty and positive impact on our water supply.
My stance on abortion is simple: the right for women to access healthcare should not be restricted. Only we can decide what’s best for our own unique situation, and, therefore, the right for women to choose the healthcare option that they deem most appropriate must be protected.
If we ever hope to achieve a safe community for our youth, we must increase the criminal penalties for the perpetrators of gun violence, plain and simple. Through this course of action, we can make it abundantly clear that the unlawful use of firearms in instances that either target children or inadvertently harm children, will not be tolerated in Florida.
In order to protect the quality of Florida’s education, I will fight to ensure the equitable allocation of resources to all our schools. This means increasing our teacher pay to keep our teachers within the public-school system which will ensure that classroom density is managed properly, and that overcrowding does not negatively affect a classroom’s learning environment.

Homeowners insurance is most important challenges. the governor implemented a one year plan . His plan includes a one-year exemption on taxes, fees, and assessments for homeowners’ insurance policies. DeSantis expects it’ll save taxpayers $409 million and cut the average insurance premium by up to six percent. We have to see it play out. Housing cost is too high. legislate to get funding to build affordable housing and encourage builders to build in areas where is not too congested and wont impact home prices in other communities.
Legislate for funding to encourage builders to construct affordable housing. Help veterans, teachers and first responders with down-payment assistance.
Enhance voter education programs to inform citizens about their rights and voting procedures, fostering greater civic engagement. Registering eligible citizens when they interact with state agencies. Third, increase the number of polling places, especially in communities, to reduce wait times.
To protect Florida’s environment and natural resources, I propose a balanced approach that promotes responsible stewardship while supporting economic growth. First, strengthen incentives for private landowners and businesses to engage in conservation efforts through tax credits and grants. Second, invest in infrastructure to improve water quality, such as upgrading stormwater systems and wastewater treatment facilities. Third, promote public-private partnerships to restore ecosystems like the Everglades. Lastly, protect property rights while encouraging sustainable development practices.
Florida voters will decide on a proposed constitutional amendment related to abortion rights on Election Day 2024. The proposed amendment, titled the "Right to Reproductive Freedom with Exceptions".
I support legislation that emphasizes personal responsibility, education, and enforcement of existing laws to better protect youth and the public from gun violence. This includes firearm safety training for families, secure gun storage requirements, and enhanced penalties for crimes committed with firearms. Rather than imposing new gun control measures, we should focus on better enforcing current laws and promoting responsible gun ownership to ensure public safety without infringing on Second Amendment rights.
I believe in empowering parents by supporting school choice, allowing education dollars to follow the student to the school that best meets their needs—whether public, private, or homeschool. By promoting competition and accountability, we can raise education standards across the board. Additionally, focusing on core academics, reducing bureaucratic interference, and ensuring that schools have the resources they need will help all Florida students access a high-quality education.
