Biographical Information

What are the two most important challenges facing Florida and, if elected, what actions will you take to address them within your first six months in office?

If documentary proof of US citizenship becomes necessary in order to register to vote, how would you help those Floridians, especially women, who no longer have or don’t have easy and affordable access to documents to prove citizenship, such as certified birth and marriage certificates?

Insufficient affordable housing is hurting Florida families and limiting Florida’s economy. What state measures do you support to address the affordable housing crisis, beyond tax and insurance reform, for both homeowners and renters?

Under what circumstances would you support access to abortion?

With respect to preemption and home rule, is the relationship and balance of power between state and local governments in Florida appropriately addressing local issues or how should it be redefined?

Equitable and affordable access to healthcare is declining, in part due to the decrease of federal insurance subsidies. At the same time, more Medicaid costs are being pushed onto the states. How should the state address these issues?

Polls indicate the public is more concerned about the cost of property insurance than property taxes. What is your view and why?

The two biggest challenges facing Florida are uncontrolled growth that threatens our quality of life and a government culture that has become too disconnected from the people it serves.

First, Florida must address overdevelopment and the strain it is placing on our water, infrastructure, environment, and communities. As a former police officer with seven years of service, I understand that protecting our communities means planning ahead, not reacting after problems occur. In my first six months, I will fight for stronger accountability on large-scale development, protect our water resources, push for responsible growth policies, and make sure residents have a stronger voice before developers reshape their neighborhoods.

Second, Florida must restore trust in government by confronting waste, corruption, and policies that put special interests ahead of working families. In my first six months, I will work to increase transparency and support stronger oversight.
Every eligible American citizen should have the ability to vote, and government should make the process accessible and affordable. I would support solutions that help Floridians obtain necessary documents through streamlined services, reduced fees, and easier access to records while still protecting the integrity of our elections.
Florida needs to expand affordable housing options by reducing unnecessary government barriers, supporting first-time homebuyers, and encouraging workforce housing. I support policies that help working Floridians own homes, protect renters, and promote responsible growth without allowing unchecked development to hurt our communities.
I support protecting life while allowing exceptions for cases of rape, incest, and when necessary to save the life of the mother. I believe these decisions should be approached with compassion while respecting the value of human life.
Local governments should have the ability to address the unique needs of their communities, but there must also be consistency and accountability across the state. I support a balanced approach that protects local voices while preventing unnecessary regulations that hurt families, businesses, and property owners. The state should set clear standards while allowing communities a meaningful role in decisions that directly affect them.
Florida must focus on lowering healthcare costs while protecting access for those who need care. I support increasing competition, reducing unnecessary regulations, expanding access to affordable options, and improving transparency in healthcare pricing. The state must be responsible with Medicaid dollars while ensuring vulnerable Floridians are not left behind.
Property insurance affordability is one of the biggest threats facing Florida families and homeowners today. I support reforms that increase competition, reduce fraud, improve transparency, and hold insurance companies accountable while protecting consumers. We must also address rising costs without placing the burden entirely on taxpayers.
