Occupation Sierra County Treasurer
I am the current Treasurer in Sierra County and was the Chief Deputy two years prior to my term. I am a retired teacher/principal/bilingual director; having worked for the TCMSD school district for 25 years. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education, a Master's in Technology, and an EMD in administration. My first degree plan was accounting before switching to education, so I have studied accounting, economics, and business as well.
My highest priorities are to work with our community to help them with their tax needs. Our goals are to work with tax payers to help them understand the taxes that they are paying and helping them pay in a timely manner. Our office is inviting and our top priority is customer service. Working with the manager, commissioners, departments, and staff in the county to help them with their needs is also a high priority.
Investing wisely and monitoring our investments is our top strategy. We also, work with the manager and commissioners to make sure that investments are made that best meet the needs of our county.
