Occupation Professor
If elected County Commissioner, I will bring a strong analytic temperament and critical thinking to the office. I also bring extensive committee experience, budget management skills, and an enthusiasm for hearing all sides of an issue and building consensus. I have been an educator for twenty years, and a professor at WNMU since 2017. In addition to teaching courses in Philosophy, Liberal Arts, Ethics and Sustainability, I have served as Director of the Honors Program and Co-Director of Student Research and Professional Development at WNMU and am President of the Faculty Senate. I served as Senior Warden at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and recently began volunteering with my son's Boy Scout troop.
As a father and educator I am committed to helping Grant County become an even stronger and more vibrant home for our children and for future generations. I am particularly focused on critical county issues that make a real difference in our lives, such as affordable housing, good jobs, well-maintained roads and responsible budget administration. It is also crucial that we address issues such as mental health services, needs of homeless individuals, and the sustainability of our county hospital.
