THE COST OF LIVING IS EXTREMELY HIGH. OVER-REGULATION HAS PUSHED THE COST OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO A POINT WHERE IT IS DIFFICULT TO AFFORD BASIC NECESSITIES. OVER-REGULATION HAS ALSO THREATENED JOBS AND ENTIRE INDUSTRIES. THIS NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED ASAP. PARENTS NEED TO BE IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT OF THEIR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION IF THEY CHOOSE.
OVER-REGULATION OF NEARLY ALL INDUSTRIES HAS PUSHED THE COST OF HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS AND UTILITIES TO UNBEARABLE LEVELS. ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOME BUILDERS, GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS ADD ALMOST $100,000 TO THE COST OF BUILDING A NEW HOME, FOR INSTANCE. WE NEED TO FOCUS ENERGY ON REELING IN REGULATIONS TO A SAFE LEVEL AND REPEALING PUNITIVE, EXPENSIVE, JOB-KILLING REGULATIONS, PARTICULARLY ON OUR FARMERS, ENERGY AND TRANSPORTATION WORKERS, AND MANUFACTURERS.
THE LACK OF ENFORCEMENT OF OUR COUNTRY'S IMMIGRATION LAWS HAS TURNED THIS INTO A STATE ISSUE. EVERY STATE BECOMES A BORDER STATE WHEN THOSE ENTERING OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY SHOW UP HERE. WE CAN STOP THIS BY REPEALING SANCTUARY POLICIES FROM COLORADO LAW AND DISCOURAGING THOSE WHO HAVE ENTERED ILLEGALLY FROM FINDING A PLETHORA OF TAXPAYER FUNDED RESOURCES HERE.
COLORADO ENERGY IS CLEAN ENERGY. OUR OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION IS AMONGST THE CLEANEST IN THE WORLD. INSTEAD OF DRIVING ENERGY DEVELOPMENT OUT OF COLORADO INTO THE ARMS OF DIRTY, HOSTILE ACTORS, SUCH AS IRAN AND RUSSIA, WE SHOULD BE PROMOTING MORE COLORADO ENERGY DEVELOPMENT BY REPEALING PUNITIVE REGULATIONS. I SUPPORT AN "ALL-OF-THE-ABOVE" (RENEWABLES, OIL AND GAS, NUCLEAR, ETC.) ENERGY POLICY AND OPPOSE THE GOVERNMENT PICKING WINNERS AND LOSERS IN THE ENERGY MARKETPLACE.
I VALUE LIFE IN ALL PHASES AND WILL WORK TO PROMOTE SENSIBLE LIMITS ON ABORTIONS, WITH EXCEPTIONS FOR RAPE, INCEST, AND THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER. I OPPOSED THE COLORADO DEMOCRATS' BILL PERMITTING ABORTION UP TO THE MOMENT OF BIRTH, AND I OPPOSE TAXPAYER FUNDING OF ABORTIONS. IT MAKES ME INCREDIBLY SAD THAT COLORADO HAS TURNED INTO AN ABORTION DESTINATION.
I BELIEVE THAT EVERY ELECTION SYSTEM HAS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, AND ALL SHOULD STRIVE TO EMPLOY THE BEST AND MOST SECURE OPTIONS AVAILABLE. THAT SAID, I WOULDN'T BE RUNNING FOR OFFICE IF I DIDN'T BELIEVE OUR COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICIALS WERE COMMITTED TO ADMINISTERING OUR ELECTIONS IN A FAIR AND ACCURATE MANNER.

The top issue facing our district is the high cost of living, which affects everything from housing to daily expenses. I would champion legislation that focuses on increasing the supply of affordable housing, providing tax relief for working families, and promoting job growth in industries like agriculture, energy, and construction.
Additionally, I’d work to lower utility costs by supporting energy-efficient initiatives and ensuring that utility companies are held accountable for fair pricing. By addressing these key areas, we can relieve the financial burden on families and help them thrive.
To reduce household expenses, I would support policies that directly lower the cost of living, such as expanding affordable housing options and providing property tax relief. I would also work on lowering utility costs by promoting renewable energy solutions and increasing energy efficiency programs. Another focus would be on reducing healthcare costs by expanding access to affordable care and prescription drugs. By targeting these specific areas, we can make a tangible difference in the everyday lives of our constituents, ensuring that families can keep more of their hard-earned money.
Immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility. We need to ensure that state law enforcement collaborates with federal agencies, while prioritizing the trust and safety of our local communities.
I would support a balanced approach to improving Colorado's energy production. We need an all of the above approach to energy that encourages investment in clean energy technologies, promotes energy efficiency, and creates incentives for carbon-neutral energy production. Additionally, I would support initiatives that strengthen the energy grid’s reliability and resilience, ensuring that all Coloradans have access to affordable and sustainable energy. By embracing both traditional and renewable energy sources, we can ensure a stable transition to a greener future.
I firmly believe that access to abortion and reproductive health care is a fundamental right. I will fight to protect and expand these rights in Colorado, ensuring that all individuals have the freedom to make decisions about their own bodies. This includes supporting legislation that guarantees access to comprehensive reproductive health services, including contraception, prenatal care, and abortion services, without undue restrictions or barriers. I’m committed to standing up against any efforts to roll back these critical rights and ensuring that Colorado remains a state where reproductive freedom is protected.
The politics of division threatens to weaken our democracy. Misinformation and baseless claims of fraud undermine trust in our electoral process. It’s especially concerning that my opponent has made social media posts in favor of those who led the January 6th attack on our nation’s Capitol. This kind of rhetoric not only damages public confidence in our elections but also endangers the very foundation of our democracy. I’m committed to protecting the integrity of our elections by promoting transparency, expanding voter access, and standing against those who seek to divide us. We must ensure that Colorado remains a state where every citizen’s vote is respected and every election is secure.
